USTC Key Research Projects Submitted to School Academic Evaluation Committee for Review

To better allocate and manage the 2001 scientific research funds from the CAS aimed at building a high level university, USTC Academic Evaluation Committee held a meeting to review the USTC key research projects put forward by schools of USTC.
Allocation and management of the 2001 research funds for USTC from the CAS will be based on "USTC's Plan to Build a World Renowned University" as well as the jointly confirmed research projects by the CAS and USTC and USTC's efforts to build some key department and state labs. In the form of key research projects of USTC, or USTC schools, USTC will support the development of transdisciplinary research projects that are already under the first-phase construction and projects that show promising prospects.
Prof. Wang Shui, CAS Academician and Chairman of the USTC Academic Evaluation Committee presided over the meeting. Altogether 31 projects were reviewed. Focusing on the school construction plans, persons in charge of the research work of respective USTC schools reported the anticipated achievement of the submitted projects to the committee members at the meeting.
