| West-European Delegation Visits USTC |
On June 4th, a nine-member delegation from some institutions of West Europe visited USTC accompanied by officials from the International Cooperation Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The delegation consists of the Secretary General, and the Program Officer of the International Cooperation Bureau (China Affairs Branch) of the Royal Institute of Sciences of Holland, program directors from the National Research Center and the Institute of Agriculture Research of France. Also, the counselor from the Nuclear Industry Division of the French Embassy in China paid a special trip from Beijing to Hefei to attend all the academic activities.
The Delegation visited the School of Life Science and the United Laboratory of High Energy Physics. Prof. FAN Weicheng, Vice-President of USTC, introduced the latest development of International Cooperation & Exchange at the CAS Level to the delegation. The delegation also held talks with some directors in charge of the cooperation projects at the CAS Level.
In recent years, USTC has established long-term and stable relationships of cooperation with quite a number of research institutions in west Europe with the support from the international cooperation programs of CAS. | |
