The result of The 5th Chinese Scientific Innovation Award for Outstanding Youth was released recently in Beijing. Mr. Liu Qingfeng, President of iFly USTC, won the award for his outstanding achievements in the research and development of vocal technology and the industrialization of the achievements. He is the youngest of all the winners this year and also the first winner from Anhui Province.
This is a biannual award for the young scientists who have made important contributions to scientific innovations and the marketing of these scientific achievements. The goals of the award are to encourage young scientists to contribute to the modernization of our home country, to develop their spirit of innovation and to promote their innovative abilities. The award was set up in 1994. Since then, altogether 40 Outstanding Awards and 500 Excellent Awards have been presented. Ten people were honored with awards this year.
