On the afternoon of November 26th, deputy secretary of Anhui CPC Committee Shen Yueyue, together with heads from other provincial departments, inspected USTC and conducted investigations and research on the scientific research progress and industrialization of research achievements at USTC.
USTC Party secretary Tang Honggao met with deputy secretary Shen Yueyue and his entourage. Both USTC vice-president Fan Weicheng and presidential assistant Chen Zonghai reported to the delegation. Also in attendance were: USTC Party deputy secretary Li Guodong, USTC vice-president Cheng Yi, presidential assistant Li Ding, deputy secretary generals Wang Keqiang and Fan Chenggao and persons in charge of relevant departments.
At the interview, deputy secretary Shen Yueyue commended USTC's key position in the fields of science and education and its contributions to the economic construction and development of Anhui Province. He expressed the hope that USTC would further reinforce its strength in scientific, talent and knowledge innovations, bring its advantages into full play and continuously contribute to the provincial goal of speeding up development, enriching people and building up a mighty province.
Following the meeting and in company of USTC Party secretary Tang Honggao and USTC vice-president Fan Weicheng, the provincial delegation visited the Open Lab of Quantum Communications and Computations, the National Synchrotron Radiation Lab, USTC School of Life Sciences and the State Key Lab of Fire Sciences. | |
