On the afternoon of Nov. 17, the annual USTC alumni awards ceremony was solemnly held at the USTC Academic Exchange Center. At the ceremony, more than one hundred awards and scholarships were presented to their winners. USTC leaders, all the awardees and representatives from the USTC Alumni Foundation were present at the ceremony.
The 2002 USTC Alumni Foundation awards included twenty-three New Students Scholarships, more than ninety Good-will Scholarships and one 2002 Young Faculty Career Award. Two Alumni Good-service Awards were given to Mr. Qian Ruohua and Mr. Deng Guohua to recognize the pains that they had taken in their work for the foundation.
