Jinkang Zhu et al School of Information Science & Technology, USTC
The Personal Communication Network & Spread Spectrum Laboratory of USTC directed by Prof. Jinkang Zhu researches and develops mobile communications and wireless communications supported by "The National Nature Science Funds of China", "The Research Programme of Key Theory Projects of China", and "The Communication Projects of High-Tech. R & D Programme". They proposed S-CDMA method and synchronous pseudo- random sequence, which is adopted in the 3G TD-SCDMA international standard proposed by China to increase the CDMA system capacity. They completed and exhibited the first model of CDMA mobile communication in China using a radio soft and integrated process for spreading code and the baseband processor of the base station and UE simulator by the 3G WCDMA standard. They developed the broadband wireless access technology and system successfully and obtained new technical results in mobile IP and wireless access to the Internet for the first time in China. They proposed the new high rate transmitting method and soft processing algorithm for the next generation mobile system, which is an international cooperation project. | |
