| A Science and Technology Delegation from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province Visited USTC |
Led by Mr. Chen Ronghui, assistant of mayor of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, a science and technology delegation visited USTC from March 30th to 31st. Vice-president Hou Jianguo met with the guests. In the meeting, both sides introduced their own basic situation respectively and discussed the cooperation between USTC and the local enterprises. Some professors from the School of Chemistry and Material Science, the School of Engineering Science, the School of Information Science and Technology and the Division of Science and Technology also attended the meeting. Heads of some enterprises from Zhangzhou discussed with experts of USTC cooperation in the fields of digital electric meter, information technology, chemistry materials, materials for keeping the vegetables fresh, optical fibre communications, CDMA, radioactive chemistry and so on. The two sides also discussed the draft arrangement of the Zhangzhou-USTC Science and Technology Festival.
