Dr. Nu Xu Invited to Be Guest Professor of USTC

Dr. Nu Xu Invited to Be Guest Professor of USTC

????On Oct. 28th, a ceremony was held at USTC to engage Dr. Nu Xu as a guest professor of USTC. The ceremony was chaired by Professor Liu Wandong, dean of the Department of Modern Physics. USTC vice-president Hou Jianguo issued the letter of appointment on behalf of the university. After the ceremony, Professor Xu made a presentation on "Relative Heavy Ion Collisions", which was well received by the participants.
????Dr. Nu Xu graduated from USTC in 1982 and received his doctorate in America in 1991. He continued with his studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a post-doctoral fellow. Dr. Xu has been doing research in the experiment of high-energy nucleus collisions and is now a senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research achievements have been highly recognized in the international academic world.
????Dr. Xu is enthusiastic about the construction of his Alma Mater and active in the promotion of research cooperation with USTC.
