In honor of devotion spirits of Li Xun, CAS Institute of Metal Research sets Lixun scholarship in USTC. Vice president of institute, Han Enhou, with other two persons, pays a visit tour to USTC and signs an agreement on setting scholarship which aims to jointly fostering genuine college students. USTC Party committee secretary Guo Chuanjie, Prof. Wang Zhiyong and Prof. Ge Xuewu from USTC Chemistry School attend the signature ceremony chaired by USTC vice president Xu Wu. Executive president of USTC Chemistry School, Prof. Chen Chusheng and vice president Han Enhou of Institute Metal Research representing each side sign on the agreement.

 

Li Xun is a famous physical metallurgist in China, as a CAS academician, taking positions as president of CAS Institute of Metal Research and vice president of CAS in a row.

 

Li xun devotes himself to China science and technology career, especially to planning metallurgy development blueprints. As to carry his serious attitudes to academic research forward and encourage youngsters to assiduous work and painstaking study on China's material science, Li Xun scholarship has been set in USTC funded by CAS Institute of Metal Research, which starts from 2005.
