Exhibition on Sino-German Scientific Cooperation and Exchange Opened
In order to enhance the exchange and cooperation between the higher educational institutes of German and China, the Exhibition on Sino-German Scientific Cooperation and Exchange organized by the Sino-German Center for Science Promotion opened on April 22nd. Dr. Mosch, co-director of the Sino-German Center for Science Promotion, presided over the opening ceremony. Heads from the national Natural Sciences Foundation of China (NSFC), Anhui Provincial Bureau of Science and Technology, Anhui Provincial Bureau of Education, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Hefei Branch), Hefei University of Technology, Anhui University and Anhui Agricultural University also attended the ceremony.
The exhibition launched in March and planned to travel to 10 universities of China and German, namely, Zhongshan University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, USTC, Shandong University, University of Tubingen, University of Munich, University of Stuttgart and so on. The goal of the exhibition is to further enhance the science and technology exchange between the two countries.
The exhibition will last for 10 days in USTC. Exchange and cooperation in the fields of natural sciences, especially the latest achievements after the reform and opening-up in China, are on the show, including ROSAT Satellite, Terra Cotta, Architectural Acoustics, Molecular Biology, Art of Combination, Agrology and Environment, Nano-biotechnology, etc.
The Sino-German Center for Science Promotion was jointly founded by NSFC and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) to promote the stable bilateral cooperation and exchange between scientists of two countries.
