The manager of LAMOST engineering command post, researcher Zhao Yongheng, the designer of LAMOST focal plane, researcher Wang Gang and other researchers from Nanjing Astronomical Optical Instruments Research, grouping Yao Zhengqiu, Chen Haiyuan, Wang Guomin and Chen Xinqi come to USTC to carry out the node check on focal-planed optical fibers orientation system on 12th, September.

Experts attentively listen to a series of reports, including the engineering on-going states report given by the charge of the engineering and vice president of Engineering School, Prof. Zhu Jiaru, control system detailed design report from assistant Prof. Zhai Chao, optical fibers orientation system software developing report from Liu Zhigang, optical fibers and cable fit report from Prof. Zhu Bing, focal plane design report from assistant Prof. Chen Haibo. Moreover, experts examine the documents concerned and detailed design drawings, query to the questions and listen to the corresponding solving methods.
After reports, experts state, automatically control system detailed design drawings have taken shape, so now it can be put into manufacture by the existing design as soon as possible. Each production segments need to be paid enough attention, following service and advanced technology should be prepared to solve any problem at any time. Large focal plane design has been finalized, so next step is to develop tasks on its production and measure techniques. Small focal plane system is the major link to testify the whole focal-planed optical fibers orientation system. Experts hope researchers in USTC can accelerate work's step on small focal plane and learn useful information from it to guarantee the large focal plane system's production.
