Prof. Zheng Yongfei Elected as the Fellow of Mineralogical Society of America

On 28th, October, President Prof. R.M.Hazen of Mineralogical Society of America sends the mail to Prof. Zheng Yongfei of USTC Earth and Space Science School as to congratulate his election to MSA Fellow. It honors his outstanding achievements in the ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rock chemical geodynamics and mineral stable isotope geochemistry.
 
MSA Fellow election is annual, aiming at honoring the prominent scientists who research into mineralogy, crystallography, geochemistry and geognosy. This year Fellows account for the percent 0.5 of MSA members. Up to now, there are 246 Fellows in MSA, and Prof. Zheng Yongfei is the first man in Chinese mainland to get this honorary title.
 
Prof. Zheng Yongfei is the director of CAS Key Laboratory of Crust and Mantle Materials and Environment. He is also the deputy dean of USTC Earth and Space Science School. Moreover, Prof. Zheng takes as the editors of many authoritative magazines, such as executive vice director of Chinese Science Bulletin, associate editor of Geochemical Journal.

Prof. Zheng Yongfei has long engaged in stable isotope geochemistry and chemical geodynamics. With his innovative achievements, he has published more than 120 papers in key publications, part of which are quoted 1050 times by Nature and Science.
