| USTC President Zhu Qingshi Won the First Provincial Award for Significant Achievements in Science and Technology in Anhui |
????Ratified by the Anhui Provincial Government, the first Provincial Award for Significant Achievements in Science and Technology was issued to USTC president and academician of the CAS, Professor Zhu Qingshi. The prize money was 4 million RMB yuan.
????The award is to honor the scientific workers who have made special contributions to the development of scientific and technological courses in Anhui Province. Winners of the annual award will be limited to not more than two. The other winner of the award is Professor Chang Yinfu, an academician of the CAS and the CAE. Professor Chang works in the Provincial Department of Land Resources. He is concurrently dean of the School of Earth and Space Science of USTC.
