USTC and Shenyang Computing Technology Research Institute cooperatively found "Network and Communication Joint Laboratory". The name-plate unveiling ceremony is solemnly held on 22nd, September. USTC Party committee secretary Guo Chuanjie, USTC vice president Xu Wu, president of Shenyang Computing Technology Research Institute Lin Hu and USTC secretary general Wang Keqiang attend the ceremony, chaired by vice president of USTC Information School, Huang Liusheng. Secretary Guo Chuanjie and institute President Lin Hu unveil the laboratory nameplate. Xu Wu and Lin Hu individually standing for the USTC and Shengyang Computing Technology Reseach Institute sign a laboratory-joint-building agreement. The executive president of Information School, Prof. Wei Guo announces the members of the laboratory.

 

After the ceremony, vice president Xu Wu representing USTC confers the letter of plurality professor appointments to Lin Hu, Lei Weimin, Yu Dong and Guo Ruifeng. Xu Wu, Lin Hu and Academician Chen Guoliang all appreciate the establishment of joint laboratory. They hope the laboratory can be a platform for both sides developing activities, such as projects study, talents breeding, and innovation ability improvement.

 

According to the reciprocal agreements, the laboratory will bear the research tasks on many aspects, including optical transmission control algorithm, VOIP security and slp applying firewall, slp and p2p portals research, voice pattern recognition and audio synthesis technology and so on.
