2005 USTC and City University of Hong Kong (City U HK) Graduates School Starting Ceremony is solemnly held in Suzhou Graduates School on 12^th, September 2005. Captain of USTC and City U HK Joint Senior Research Centre Work Team, Academician Chen Guoliang, USTC inspector Jin Dasheng, vice president of City U HK Graduates School Xu Yihong, Graduates School Affairs director Lu Cuiwen, vice president of USTC Graduates School Zhang Shulin, director of HK, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, Zhang Mengpin, standing deputy director of Dushu Lake Zone Management Office in Suzhou Ye Feng, and charges concerned and tutors involving two universities jointly fostering graduates project attend the ceremony, which is chaired by Yu Jilin.

Academician Chen Guoliang delivers the speech on the ceremony. He illustrates the significance of jointly fostering graduates to both universities and encourages students to make themselves selective persons by hard work and with help of staff and scientific research advantages.
