AEARU 11th Annual Cerebral Meeting, namely the 17th Board of Directors meeting is held in Shanghai from August 7 to 9. Fudan University hosts the meeting. USTC president Zhu Qingshi, the fifth chair of AEARU, presidents this meeting.

There are 17 presidents and the persons in charge of divisions concerned from each university, including president from Tokyo Institute of Technology Prof. Khatami; president from University of Tswkuba, Prof. Yoichi Inaski; president of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Dr. Roberts B Laughlin (Nobel Prize in physics); president of Korea Pohang University of Science and Technology, Prof. Chan-mo PARK; president of Tsinghua University (Taiwan Xinzhu), Prof. Xu Xiasheng; president of Peking University, Academician Xu Zhihong; president of Peking University, Academician Gu Binlin; president of Fundan University, Prof Wang Shenghong; USTC president, Academician Zhu Qingshi and other President from Tokyo Institute of Technology Prof. Khatami; president from University of Tswkuba, Prof. Yoichi Inaski; president of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Dr. Roberts B Laughlin (Nobel Prize in physics); president of Korea Pohang University of Science and Technology, Prof. Chan-mo PARK; president of Tsinghua University (Taiwan Xinzhu), Prof. Xu Xiasheng; president of Peking University, Academician Xu Zhihong; president of Peking University, Academician Gu Binlin; president of Fundan University, Prof Wang Shenghong; USTC president, Academician Zhu Qingshi. Moreover, 45 representatives on the whole attend the meeting.
President Zhu Qingshi warmly welcomes the attendance and awards the "Thanks Certificate" to lately session-expiring president of Taiwan University, Prof. Chen Weizhao and Tokyo University president, Prof. Sasaki Takeshi as to thank their supports and contributions to the association.

The meeting reviews the academic seminars held from 2004 to 2005, then arranges the seminars held in 2005, student summer camp, next annual general meeting, board of directors meeting and other activities.

The attendance come to a consensus that agrees president of Pohang University of Science and Technology, Prof. Chan-mo PARK take he position as the vice-chair of association board of directors nominated by USTC president Zhu Qingshi.
